By utilizing the most advanced technology available, our office ensures that each patient achieves optimal results. Some of the state-of-the-art technology we have implemented at our office includes digital X-rays, intra-oral digital photography, and soft tissue lasers.
Digital radiography (digital X-ray) is the latest technology used to take dental X-rays. This technique uses an electronic sensor (instead of X-ray film) that captures and stores the digital image on a computer. This image can be instantly viewed and enlarged helping the dentist and dental hygienists detect problems easier. Digital X-rays reduce radiation 80-90% compared to the already low exposure of traditional dental X-rays.
At your next appointment, we’ll be happy to answer any questions you may have about our digital X-ray technology.
The intra-oral camera broadcasts images for both the patient and doctor to see. Instantaneously, the images of your teeth are sent to a computer screen so both patient and doctor can review your oral health together. This wonderful new technology allows you to relax in your chair while simultaneously observing a real-time movie of the inside of your mouth magnified beyond normal size on an adjacent computer monitor.
Not only does this make it simple to see and understand what is happening in your mouth, but it makes it simple for us to keep incredibly accurate records from one visit to the next.
Lasers now clearly provide benefits for mainstream treatment in medicine and dentistry. Shorter procedures, less discomfort, and quicker healing are just a few of the benefits of modern lasers.
Our office now uses the latest in dental laser technology to perform a wide range of dental procedures on oral tissues and gums more comfortably. When using a laser, the dentist gives fewer shots and less anesthesia thereby reducing patient anxiety and providing a more relaxing dental experience.
Using laser dentistry for gum procedures reduces bleeding, post-operation.
At Dr. Rebecca Bae, DDS, we strive to keep technology current and beneficial to all our patients. We are excited to introduce a new radiation-free cavity detection tool called CariVu™.
DEXIS CariVu™ is a compact, portable caries detection device that uses patented near-infrared (NIR) transillumination technology to support the identification of occlusal, interproximal, and recurrent carious lesions and cracks.
3D digital scanners provide fast and accurate imaging. Digital impressions can be an alternative option to traditional impressions.
With this new technology, we can even show you a simulation of your potential final result even before starting treatment! We can also scan your existing teeth and make new restorations exactly the same shape. The possibilities are endless with this new technology where the software is updated on a regular basis.
